Custom Thank You Letter under the Mergetext Folder

Hello All,

I am working on the custom thank you letter and other letter for fund raising.
It seems like by default ODB only recognizes the *.txt files only(text only is not very attractive) i want to be able to bold my text, italics, and other curses. Therefore i used wordpad but it is also not recognizes the wordpad as well.

Questions:
Is there anyway to enable the mergetext folder to accept at least wordpad files?

The answer to your question is that ODB only has a very basic thank you letter capability for text-only thank you letters containing only two merged fields. It might make sense to add the capacity for ODB to recognize additional merged fields, we will look into that...

But this does not do what you want.

To do what you want, you must create a custom report to link ODB to a third party application such as Access, Word, or Open Office.

Support services to help technically challenged people in doing this will be available, probably by the end of September. Until then, please check the documentation for the new report writer written by Steve Wishengrad:
