1/15/08: Working with a few clients yesterday and today we discovered and addressed a few additional problems, thus we are making available ODB 1.1 Release Candidate 5.

Thanks to clients (Pflag, Casa Atabex Ache, Boston Tenant Coalition) and to Steve Wishengrad and for reporting these issues.

Also, we discovered today, thanks to Bob Lelievre, that there is a small incompatibility with Vista -- it is a display problem with the Aero interface in which about 15 pixels of the ODB window are cut off. We intend to address this soon, however as a workaround you might need to disable the Aero interface until we get to it.

To use this release, first install ODB 1.1 release candidate 1 using the installer here:

Then, upgrade this to release candidate 5 by replacing the files odb.exe and converters/convert1.1.exe with the files in this hotfix (either one):

p.s. Below is a list of what is fixed; this includes fixes from the 1/11/08 release and from today's release.

Note: we are not providing a new ODB sample database in the hotfix, but prior to the final release we are going to run the new conversion utility on the sample DB so that thank you and job title and defaultprintingformat features work correctly. You can do this on your own during your testing if you use the ODB sample database.

RELEASE CANDIDATE 5 (released 1/15/08)

Major issues resolved
a) When no member categories are defined, all categories should affect membership
b) Logic to reset membership dates was not correct

Minor issues resolved
a) Function to go from group to contact not working (rich)
b) Conversion utility does not assign min and max values to "Default Print Format" setting
c) Advanced Search screen tooltips for payment categories should be different
d) When a gift is reassigned, current record does not update
e) Titles of choices windows (category, subcategory, group-activities, SRC) incorrect (rich)

RELEASE CANDIDATE 4 changes (first released 1/11/08)

Major issues resolved
a) Thank you merging may substitute last name for last gift amount for recent ODB installations
b) Importing SRC codes -- functionality is restored
c) Salutation field not available for all records when exported from the payment report area

Minor issues resolved
a) cancelling out of PDF (Acrobat) printing may cause ODB to crash
b) in groups advanced search area, the presets pulldown for people is showing up
c) Groups mailcode pulldown is not cleared
