Importing past payments from old database and donor codes

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a way to import all past payment information from an old database. Right now I only see a way to import the last donation (I'm currently using 1.0.2 and plan to upgrade to 1.1 soon) and would rather not go in an enter all of the previous donations by hand! Do I need to create new codes for this?

Also, I've seen in the user manual something about donor codes in the Customization Survey in the appendix, but don't see where to create these or enter them. Can you point me in the right direction to do this?

Hi--
The payment information is easily imported; the prompts have been improved in version 1.1 so it is easier to guess how it works. We might have to write a better guide to doing this; the 'oldid' field must exist when you import people records in order for the payment import to work properly.
As for your other question, see the PDF version of the user manual; this is very clearly explained. See page 30 and 31. Good luck!!!
