Colors

Is there a way to change the default colors for the buttons. On one of our machines, the contrast if very poor especially on buttons that are not enabled in certain screens. I know about the (D8D8D8) background color for the left side of the main window and was wondering if other default colors can be changed as well. Also wondering about a list of the many lablel and text field names that can be hidden or revealed in the settings tool.
