The Egleston Square Neighborhood Association (ESNA) of Roxbury, Massachusetts involves local residents in addressing the economic and environmental problems of this low-income area. Frustrated with using Outlook and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and in need of a more specialized system to keep track of its over 500 members, ESNA became one of the first organizations to adopt ODB in 2002. Through the software's code system, ESNA can now perform searches based on specific interests and concerns in contacting residents for meetings. ODB allowed administrator Phil Myrick to be more efficient in organizing and educating his community members and he has recommended the software to other organizations such as The Union of Minority Neighborhoods.
